no cause the gel would take the shock. your legs would only crumble because of the shock reaching the ground and bouncing back up into your body but if that shock is absorbed you should be ok just like the egg.

it's an awesome idea but if you think about it, you're legs would crumple under you when you landed and you would still be pretty injured.
