I always thought Hall&Oates sang this, i remember when it first hit the charts hear in Oz, it was very popular amongst my friends, came as a bit of a shock that he was gay, funny how gay artists seem to sing hetro songs, sadly missed, RIP Dan

Dan Hartman was in the Edgar Winter Band at it's height with the hit, 'Frankenstein'. He died of HIV mid 1990's. RIP and missed.

80's was the bomb that's for sure the best musical decade of all time, all original songs, artists no rap crap, techno or r@b dribble.

619Bearsfan maybe you should recheck your source, Dan Hartman sings this version. The Sorels lip sync in the movie and this video. In Streets of Fire it is clearly a different version that IS NOT sung by Dan Hartman. This however, is.
