wow i never saw a horse do something like that.. same happens with othr animals .. even a loness will kill her own cub if its weak too long.. sad to see.. but in a way.. its natures selection to let the strong live :(

Competition. Its partially the reason why only one stallion leads a herd, and when two stallions meet they beat the heck out of each other until one runs of and the other stallion steals his mares. Its precisely because the foal wasn't his that he showed such aggression, besides its disability, really.

i must say i usually dont mind seeing horrible things, they dont really bother me but this video i could never watch again, it made my stomache turn and set me to tears, i do not agree with putting an innocent foal's gut wrenching fear and death on display. everyone knows that is why stallions are not around babies, he was not doing that foal a favor, i know these things happen, i have seen awful things happen but to put his death and brutality on display like that is wrong.

It was good that he killed the foal, there was something wrong with the foals back legs, it would have suffered if he hadn't.

Are you familiar with the term "relative reproductive fitness"? Understanding that concept is what should make it clear as to why another horse siring the foal would matter to Looking Glass. I wouldn't be surprised if a healthy foal would be killed if it was just laying around like that. The reason healthy ones don't die like that very often is because they can run away.. not because stallions wouldn't do it if they had the opportunity.

i think looking glass did a good thing than letting the foal suffer |
