I've been reading that. It's very interesting but I think I'm more fascinated by how different things were back then than anything else. I'm 20 and had no idea about the three day week and constant power cuts back then. My image of the 70s was totally different until I read this. It's very good :)And Michael Palin is terrific!

I'm just getting to the end of the Python Diaries and it is a good read. I recommend it.As with everyone who seems to meet Mr.Palin, he doesn't really say a bad word about anyone in the book - unless he edited it out! Good Stuff.

Palin put out a lovely coffee-table book (1999) on Hemingway's travels. I bought it from the library for 50 cents.
