In response to the comments below, I lived in Korea 8 years, and I was surprised at how much crap is popular.. but there are lots of bands like Clazziquai that are awesome, and don't get a lot of attention because the big music companies can't market them as easy. But yeah, I think there is a great underground. Especially HongDae ipgu.. so many cool clubs that feature the underground stuff....

its true.. korean music is either popular music genre or underground electro n all the stuff.. lik nell,, peterpan complex..?? crying nut etc. n then there are ARTISTS.. like epik high mc mong,,

thats what makes korean music world interesting. its either ur into insane pop groups or ur into underground bands, n othe real artist. most korean youngsters are into idols but when they pass a certain age they move into underground genre.. u have to be korean basically to be able to understand it.
