I hope the person who made this video that The USA was based off religion, and the fact that it was based off of Christinaty is just a misunderstanding. Athiests rant and rave about how the word "God" is everywhere and want it removed because it offends them just to get attention and being the fact that this is America you'll bitch until you get it removed. So long story shortSHUT UP! NO ONE CARESI'm not atheiest or claim any religon but everyone is annoyed. Just shut up!

i went to catholic school for three years. go to Catholic mass AT LEAST once a week belong to a catholic youth organization, went to catechism, took catholic religious classes, and not once were we threatened with, taught about, or talked about hell

Then your experience & mine differ. Indeed I offered two pieces of primary evidence right from the Vatican. You can even read the Catechism on-line at the Vatican website. If you doubt my authenticity then look for yourself. 'The Last Judgement' (line 1038) is graphic stuff about sending sinners to 'eternal punishment'. It's an interesting document which takes very little time to read.Incidentally, when I went with that Irish Catholic family, sure enough the vicar preached about damnation...

That "documented theology" of the Catholic church goes way back. Johan Tetzel sold indulgences in Germany in 1500 to buy your mommy out of purgatory (read hell). That was terrible abuse of Christian Faith. You won't find any of that anymore.I attended a 5 day spiritual retreat at a monestary in Kentucky 2 yrs ago. I also was at Taize, France monestary in '06 for a week.Never heard a word of hell, coersion etc. Fortunately your fears are ill founded. They didn't even threaten us protestants.

"When's the last time you attended mass?" I actually went to a mass with a Catholic family about six years ago. I explained my point of view, yet they insisted that I should attend with them regardless. As their guest I was obliged to accede. However one doesn't need to attend a mass to experience the threat of damnation, anyone who studies the L'Osservatore Romano can frequently see Papal press releases which casually mention damnation.When was the last time you attended a catholic service?

There are always some idiots out there who like to misuse Christian Faith and the concept of hell. while I'm not catholic, I doubt seriously that you will hear a word of that kind of judgment from the Catholic Church. When's the last time you attended mass?
