wow, everyone taking the word hero in the title so seriously. Come on. no one died. Property is destroyed every day. This guy just found a way to make sure he did it in a ridiculous way that got him on tv. Personally, i think it's funny someone would be stupid enough to do this, and funny in that he just tore up a town with a cement covered bulldozer.

True, but there is no proof that he didn't try. He was hardly able to aim, and he fired the weapons... he had no way to be sure he didn't kill anyone; he was a nutcase.

Bah, Heemeyer was a monster. Yes, the others were wrong the way they destroyed his business, but he went too far. He claims that "God told him", but the Christian/Catholic God's son taught to bless them that curse you, and most importantly, "THOU SHALT NOT KILL". He was not religious, he was just a nutcase.

Doesn't anyone else think that he could have used that ingenuity to constructively overcome his problems? Instead he welded himself into a corner, threw a tantrum, and killed himself.A REAL winner, right?
