hi, I was there too, and it was 98 :-) there's still Martin's sign on my ticket.... by the way great band and great atmosphere

I was in Wacken in 97 and 98. I saw skyclad there. It was one of the best concerts I ever experienced. Phantastic atmosphere. I am convinced though, that it was p7 and not 98.In any case, what a great band!

another important thing, for me at least, is that he has a good sounding voice . There are some technically gifted singers who just are crap cos they have annoying voices.

This performance doesn't do justice to Martin. He was (well, still is) one of the greatest lyricists in the entire rock history and a remarkable singer. His relative lack of range and formal singing skills was compensated by his sheer passion. Don't judge the man just based on this not very good performance.

Kevin Ridley. He's actually on guitar in this video. He took the second guitar spot in '98 and has been their producer since they started, too.

Oh and bluntgent...Saying he's a good writer, but he shouldnt write songs? He's got a fucking talent for writing and he can use it however he bloody well wants, you f-ed up abortion. Its ten thousand times better than all those shit new american bands who just string random words together. |
