for sure, and its why i dont play this stuff anymore cause yngwie and MAB is all like u say muscle memory, i prefer clever melodies that get stuck in your head but are fairly simple to play.

I agree. I'm a bass player myself. I've been playing 35 years. I found that the technical aspects of playing could be learned in a year with a lot of practice. I also found the the mental part, ability to improvise well, learning where all the notes are and being able to hear them in your head and play them without thinking anywhere on the neck and the ability to create original melodic lines on the fly takes much longer. That's why I'm not impressed by technical difficulty. It's muscle memory.

ahh right sorry, im just looking at my playing. after a year of playing pretty constantly, im mean im talking 2 - 4 hours a day i was playing trilogy suite by yngwie, theres allot of yngwie stuff in this, so i still say if u are comitted u can play like this after a year, but its hard to say that because people learn at different speeds, if you already have the experience then it took me 2 weeks to learn fully.

Check out a comment you made 3 weeks ago in response to Tracy Chapman. It shows 3 thumbs down and you were commenting on your own playing. Maybe they don't like that you said you should be able to play this after a year of playing. Of course it all depends on how many hours a day one practices.

Interesting how you received some thumbs down for this comment considering your the one playing it in the video.

Of course you are welcome to your opinion although apparently few agree with you.

The song is beautifully melodic as is the original Pachelbel version written about 1680. Anything that is still played 328 years after it is written certainly has earned it's reputation as a piece of music of the highest quality and is not Cheesy . Technical difficulty is not a good way to rate music as great playing and music can be technically easy while I've heard very poor and unoriginal technically difficult music.

i dont get why people go wild for this song, it's cheesy and not technically very difficult |
