hmmm, "warholisthebest", for someone who likes andy warhol you sure don't seem to know that much about him. Andy HATED illegal drugs, and the only drugs he took were legal amphetamines to "keep his weight under control" and to stay awake in order to "work work work".

Exactly, AFTER he'd demonstrated that he had nothing to prove. He did it for fun, probably, and also for money. Pop was his ideology, he never took himself all that seriously, unlike all those pompous critics on the Ken Burns documentary.

t's so weird. I wonder what warhol would have though about the fact that he was totally right on. everyone can achieve 15 minutes of fame. america's got talent is the perfect example of this. watch it on tuesday and realize it's just little people becoming big starts for 15 minutes. and they love it.

People who don't get why he did this commercial really should try and dig deeper into his work!Ever heard of double irony? His work celebrated and at the same time ridiculed commercialism, fame and art.He played with the conventional ways of approaching art, movies, music etc. etc. etc.You don't have to like his work, that's not the point, but we owe much of our open cultural scene to Warhol.
