I've seen the whole opera in a wonderful, very modern version in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It's amazing how such an interesting opera was produced from Dr. Sachs' book. There are no murders, no love scenes... just a patient (a classical singer) with a strange brain condition, his wife and the doctor. And stunning music. Don't miss it if you have a chance to see it.

I *love* the book! It made me consider neuroscience as a possible major. What is this trailer for? The play?

no there isn't but there is a play written by peter brook. its really good and quite unlike anything else. its pretty much the patients displayed to us like that of Ollie Sacks' book, with a few alterations here and there. u'll prob like it :)
