Why, Stanne, must you profane this awesome song with such a silly video?

even if it is an unusual style of singing, growling uses the same techniques and applies the same principles found in "normal" singingyou can tell that to anyone who claims this kind of vocal is not singingalso it has not actually been invented in metal days, but actually back in rock n roll days as far back as the 50's

Yeah I definitely agree.

Now you are someone that i would argue with on a daily basis. You can actualy use proper grammar and sentence structure. Thank you for that. Anyways...i can see what you're saying and i can agree to a point. but well leave it at this. Dark Tranquillity is a GREAT band regardless of what they look or act like on stage?!?! i think we both can agree on that point

Trivium36, he "flails around" because he is passionate about his music, yes part of vocals is actually singing, but 25% comes from presence , who the hell just wants to see a metal vocalist just stand there and not make any movements or facial expressions? thanks, bye =)

Hey now, that's not fair. I'm sure if Mikael lost his screaming voice he would either be replaced or switch his vocal style. It's not a matter of "staying true to the genre" (if you insist on classifying music); It was a legitimate vocal cord failure. I wasn't disrespecting his vocal style. I was just saying that he flails around and over exaggerates his scream face and that the other musicians would probably be better off without him. |
