wow thats a shame. anyone who grows up with this music should be naturaly able to dance to it. what im trying to say is that middle eastern women have been introduced to this dance wheter they wanted to or not. Its our CULTURE. non middle eastern women have to LEARN it. And thats a shame that an Arab doesnt know how to bellydance.

I only saw one person bend all the way back, and that was Rachel Brice. She's a talent onto her own, and not many of us have those crazy Cirque du Soleil skills.

these guys are skinny. i understand if it's natural genetics, but in middle eastern dance, i don't think the point is to be super skinny. they're good dancers though

this is so cool! cuz damn dude they can bend over FAR! 5:04 to 5:30 is like perfect example of crazy bending skills. i would have fallen over!! they're so flexible and have nice bodies. i'm so envious! but i wonder if one of them have ever gotten a belly cramp while on stage xD

theweyrd You are so right about the camera work. I really wish cameramen would stop trying so hard for all the different angles and just get a nice, clear, over-all shot of the dancers! Time after time they spoil a dance performance for the viewers with all their jumping around with the cameras.

SaucyShorts I agree with you 100% re: wearing shoes designed for belly dance. I always belly danced barefoot. It wasn't until I did a Moroccan Shikat dance wearing boots with thick high heels that I wound up terribly injured! I did not know that I already had a weakness in my spine until then! One other thing about high heels is that they cause the pelvis to tilt forward and you limit your range of motion. I always find the barefoot dancers are much better with their definitions and isolations.
