Actually, the Zephyr mix is by Butch Vig, Duke Erikson and Steve Marker, a.k.a. the three blokes (minus Shirley Manson) from Garbage.

Never heard of this song being connected to Martin's daughter - where did you read that? I know "Precious" is about the effects of divorce on his children, because he stated that publicly several times. First time I've come across any kind of specific inspirational reference for this song though.
