I have just revisited Ballet Russes, the film which narrates the whole wonderful story of 20th century ballet and the central role in it played by Diagheliv and the three 'baby ballerinas' from Russia. Rare films like this , and the observations of the artists, add immeasurably to that wonderful story.

Thank you so much. What a find - a documentary about the man who was the source of 20th c ballet, and modern art's patron saint.

I agree Diaghilev made a lot for ballet but in a personal way, he was a monster.
